Nelson Müller

Nelson Müller has been the owner of the "Schote" restaurant in Essen since September 2009, which was first awarded a star by the Michelin Guide in November 2011. Since the beginning of 2014, the top restaurateur has been running the brasserie "Müllers auf der Rü" at Rüttenscheider Stern in Essen, serving specialties from the Ruhr region and around the world. In 2019, the star moved to the Stern. Since then, Nelson Müller has been running the restaurant and the brasserie under one roof, allowing him to combine forces. In 2023, the brasserie "Müllers auf der Rü" was given a successful spin-off, "Müllers auf Norderney", in the new boutique hotel "1884 Norderney". The passionate gastro entrepreneur and popular TV chef Nelson Müller will continue to expand and open the "Diepeschrather Mühle" country hotel in Bergisch-Gladbach in spring 2025. Here he will combine culinary and hospitality under one roof and realize his dream of a holistic gastronomic concept.

The restaurant "Schote" will open as part of the boutique hotel in mid-January 25. A further hotel in Thuringia with a brasserie "Müllers in Thuringia" is planned. The "Müllers auf der Rü" brasserie will remain at the Essen location.
